Well, not really. The man who portrayed Danny on Guiding Light, Paul Anthony Stewart, is also a veteran of the stage, and he’s returning to the stage later this month.
If you’re in or near Cleveland (and I know some of my readers are!) you’ll have a chance to see Paul at the Cleveland Playhouse. He’ll be starring in a theatrical adaptation of Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment, which will run from February 27th until March 23rd.
If you want more information, check out the Playhouse’s Web site.
Cynics may doubt the quality of productions that aren’t on Broadway or in L.A., but there are amazing regional theaters like the Cleveland Playhouse, the nearby Erie Playhouse (where I volunteered a hundred or so years ago) and the Guthrie in Minneapolis, to name just a few.
In addition to Paul’s appearance, the Cleveland Playhouse will also play host to Mimi Kennedy (best known as Dharma’s hippie mom on “Dharma and Greg”) when she headlines a play based on Ann Landers’ life. Good stuff!
Thanks for the heads up…AND a big agree on the quality of Cleveland theater 🙂
I am in Cleveland and I will be there to see him. And yes, Cleveland theater is awesome!!!
